Testimonials

insiderpages I had hammer toe surgery performed by Dr. Brenner and the results were amazing. She was extremely careful and this proved to help with my recovery time. There wasn't a lot of swelling either. I highly recommended Dr. Brenner. It was just refreshing to have a doctor that was friendly and helpful. My mom will be visiting for reconstructive work as well.

Dr. Brenner was recommended to me by another doctor. She is extremely professional and very caring to all her patients. She spent extra time with my husband who is in a wheelchair and has a hard time getting out of his wheelchair into the examining chair/table. The staff is kind and very understanding. I would recommend her highly.

Hillary has been an awesome doctor. She was very knowledgeable and told me everything that she was doing. She was very gentle, and apologized immediately if she caused any pain. She was punctual and was in no rush to leave. She was also very skilled at giving cortisone shots without a lot of pain. She is the only podiatrist that I will ever see.

She is very nice and performed a very difficult surgery without any complications. I will never go to another podiatrist.

More Than a Pain in the Foot?

Foot pain can mean a lot more than the usual aches from a long walk or standing on the feet all day.

Some foot pains, particularly those that persist for more than a couple of days or even weeks, can be early signs of vascular disease, diabetes or even cancer and should not be overlooked, according to podiatrists.

Agony of the Feet
Like Avril Lavigne before she got married, your toenails are better with a little edge. Cutting corners sets you up for ingrowns and infections, says Hillary Brenner, D.P.M., an NYC podiatrist. Instead, trim straight across, using a larger version of your standard nail cutter with a straight blade, like the Tweezerman Limited Clipper ($10, available at drugstores). Smooth rough bits with a nail file.
